Bologna left-back Aaron Hickey, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar, has broken his silence regarding his future.
Hickey has been a revelation since leaving Hearts to join Bologna two years ago, with the full-back establishing himself as a mainstay in the Serie A club’s starting lineup during the 2021/22 season.
The two-footed 19-year-old demonstrated his versatility, featuring at left-back, left wing-back and right-back during the campaign and accumulating six goal contributions to his name (Transfermarkt).
90 min reported in April that Spurs were one of the sides to have expressed interest in the Scottish international ahead of the summer.
Arsenal and Napoli have also been credited with an interest in the teenager, who is thought to be valued at around €20m (£17m) by Bologna (1000 Cuori Rossoblu).
Hickey has now insisted that he remains focused on the present despite the speculation linking him with some of Europe’s top clubs.
When asked about the transfer rumours, the youngster said (via Football.London): “I just look at it and keep my head down. Wherever I am I just focus on what I’m doing.”

Although Hickey is versatile, left-back seems to be his best position. Given that Spurs have already signed Perisic for the left wing-back role and that Conte seems to rate Sessegnon highly, I would be surprised if we made a move for Hickey this summer.
