CalcioMercato.it have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur hold an interest in Bologna centre-back Stefan Posch.
Posch joined Bologna from Hoffenheim back in the summer and the centre-back has showcased his versatility this season, performing admirably as a right-back on multiple occasions.
The Austrian, who found the back of the net in Bologna’s win away at Udinese last weekend, is thought to have caught the attention of several sides, including Spurs, with his displays.
Calciomercato.it explained that Bologna signed Posch on an initial loan deal with an obligation to make the deal permanent for €5m (£4.3m) but it is said that his value has ‘at least doubled’ over the last six months.
It is asserted that Tottenham would thus have to pay €10-€12m (£8.7m-£10.5m) to snatch the centre-back away from Bologna.
The report states that Fabio Paratici is driving Spurs’ pursuit of the 25-year-old, with the North London club thought to be facing competition from Juventus.
It is explained that Spurs could have an advantage over Juve in the race for Posch as they would be willing to loan the defender back to Bologna.

This has Paratici’s fingerprints all over it as not only does the Italian pay close attention to Serie A’s up-and-coming stars but we also know that he is a fan of signing players and loaning them back to the same club so that they can continue developing in the same environment.
