90 min have claimed that despite attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspur and several other Premier League sides, Joao Felix prefers a move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

Felix has not fulfilled the potential he showed when he first broke through at Benfica as a teenager, with Atletico Madrid seeing nowhere near the expected returns on the £113m they invested to sign him back in 2019.

The 23-year-old would have hoped that the loan move to Chelsea in January would help to revive his career but he struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge, scoring just four times in 16 Premier League appearances (Transermarkt).

Tottenham’s interest in the Atletico star first came to light last month when Spanish news outlet Onda Cero claimed that the Lilywhites and Aston Villa were both monitoring the player’s situation.

90 min have now also backed up Spurs’ interest in Felix, claiming that the North London club are being kept informed of his situation by the striker’s representatives.

However, the report adds that PSG have now started working on a deal to bring the Portugal international to the Parc des Princes.

It is explained that Felix has informed the Atletico hierarchy of his desire to leave the club, with a move to the French capital thought to be the player’s top preference.

The publication adds that Atletico are looking for a fee of around €90m (£77.3m) for the forward’s services while PSG would prefer a loan deal, with an option to buy.

The speculation linking the likes of Joao Felix, Dusan Vlahovic and Randal Kolo Muani to Tottenham suggests that the North London club have drafted some contingency plans in case Harry Kane does leave the club this summer.

As things stand, the possibility of the England captain departing appears remote but the situation could change quickly in a matter of days.
