Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg opened the scoring for Denmark as they eased to a 4-0 win against San Marino in the Euro qualifiers clash at Copenhagen on Thursday.
Hojbjerg is yet to start a Premier League game for Spurs this year, but he admitted this week that he and Ange Postecoglou have had clear conversations regarding the path forward and he is ready to showcase his best whenever opportunities come his way (Bold).
Hojbjerg lashes home a goal for Denmark
The midfielder has certainly shown a glimpse of what he can to do his manager by sending Denmark on their way to a thumping win over San Marino.
The Tottenham man smashed a half-volley into the corner of the net when the ball dropped to him at the edge of the box on 26 minutes.
Joakim Maehle then doubled the home side’s lead just two minutes later before Onas Wind put the game beyond San Marino towards the end of the first half. Finally, Yussuf Poulsen came off the bench to put the icing on the cake for the Danes in stoppage time at Parken.

Getting minutes under their belt during the international break would be good for the likes of Hojbjerg, Davies, Perisic, Solomon and co since they have not seen too much competitive action since pre-season.
