The agent of Genoa defender Radu Dragusin has said that the centre-back, who has been mooted as a target for Spurs in the past, is on the radar of several Premier League sides.
Dragusin has been quite highly rated from a very young age, which is why Juventus signed him back in 2018 when he had just turned 16.
The Romanian only made four senior appearances for the Old Lady but he showed his potential during his loan spell at Genoa last season, with the Serie A club unsurprisingly taking up the option to sign him permanently this summer.
The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to Tottenham in the past, with Serie B News even claiming at the start of this year that the club’s former managing director of football, Fabio Paratici, is a fan of the youngster and had recommended his signing to the Lilywhites.
Radu Dragusin is a target for multiple PL clubs
Dragusin’s agent, Florin Manea, has now revealed that plenty of English clubs showed interest in his client during the summer transfer window.
He told EuroSport: “There are already advanced talks with several Premier League clubs. Genoa want between 35 and 40 million euros.
“We’ll see in the winter what could happen. We could agree the transfer (in January) but continue with Genoa until the summer.
“For Radu, it is now important to play match after match in Genoa, in Serie A, after the 45 matches in which he started last year.”
In further quotes reported by Sport Italia, Manea insists that he remains in contact with several Premier League sides about the Romanian international.
He said: “It’s just a matter of chatting. It is normal that there are many clubs interested in him, because he is a young player, born in 2002, who plays in Serie A and does it very well,” the agent adds.
“Then I have offices in London, and I know everyone there. If Genoa gets the money they ask for him, then we will all be happy.”
Spurs Web Opinion
Our transfer targets are likely to have changed completely, now that we play a different system under Postecoglou. With Paratici and Leonardo Gabbanini no longer at Spurs, the club’s previous interest in Dragusin likely does not mean anything.
