The agent of Genoa defender Radu Dragusin has revealed that several clubs have spoken to him about a potential move for his client ahead of the January transfer window.
Dragusin has been quite highly rated from a very young age, which is why Juventus signed him back in 2018 when he had just turned 16.
The Romanian only made four senior appearances for the Old Lady but he showed his potential during his loan spell at Genoa last season, with the Serie A club unsurprisingly taking up the option to sign him permanently this summer.
The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to Tottenham in the past, with Serie B News even claiming earlier this year that the North London club were closely following his progress.
The youngster has had a solid start to the season, having started every single one of Genoa’s nine Serie A matches this season, and according to his agent, the player is attracting quite a bit of interest.
Newcastle are interested in Radu Dragusin
Dragusin’s representative, Florin Manea, confirmed Newcastle’s interest in his client and explained that Genoa value the centre-back at €30m (£26m).
When asked about speculation suggesting that the Magpies have made an offer for the player, Manea told Calciomercato: “It is not an offer from Newcastle (although) I have had meetings with Newcastle and other teams. Genoa would only sell him for an offer exceeding 30 million euros. Genoa will certainly ask a lot of money for him.
“(Dragusin’s) dream is to reach the highest level. Personally, I have never had any doubts about Radu, given that I know all the sacrifices he makes every day to improve himself. He pays attention to every little detail, especially his diet.”
Spurs Web Opinion
Tottenham were seemingly keeping an eye on Dragusin during the Fabio Paratici era, with the Italian being the man who brought the defender to Juventus. However, there is nothing concrete to suggest that the 21-year-old still remains on Spurs’ radar.
