Tottenham Hotspur are trying to bring Dutch wonderkid Lamare Bogarde to North London this summer, according to a report by Football Insider.
The 16-year-old Feyenoord defender is yet to make a senior appearance for the Rotterdam-based club but has shone for the club’s under-17 side as well as for the Netherlands age-group sides.
The young centre half has made significant strides this season and it is revealed that his performances have made the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Schalke, Juventus and AC Milan take notice of his progress.
Tottenham’s scouts have reportedly been keeping a close eye on the teenager and it is said that they delivered rave reviews on his performances.
It is claimed that the Lilywhites believe Bogarde has great potential and they could be set to make an offer for him this summer.
The report asserts that Spurs are waiting to see how the coronavirus shutdown impacts their finances before finalising their targets this summer but the pursuit of the Feyenoord youngster should not significantly impact their transfer budget.
Spurs Web Opinion
Barely any club across Europe will be able to spend big money on players this summer while many smaller teams will be forced to sell some of their assets to survive. This will likely mean that many young talents across Europe will be available for a reduced fee this summer. If we approach this transfer window smartly, there is no reason we cannot take advantage of the market situation to make some fantastic additions.
