Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a move for Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Edmond Tapsoba this summer.
Edmond Tapsoba has been a fixture in the Bayer Leverkusen backline over the last couple of years and has emerged as a leader for the Bundesliga club.
The 24-year-old’s reputation has particularly blossomed in light of his displays at the BayArena this campaign, and it has now been reported that he has caught the attention of Premier League clubs.
Romano has now taken to social media to reveal that Spurs and their North London rivals, Arsenal, have both sent scouts to Germany this season to run the rule over Tapsoba.
However, the journalist revealed that the race for the centre-back still remains ‘wide open’ and described the player as ‘one to keep an eye on’ this summer.
Romano also added that the Bundesliga club will only sell Tapsoba if they receive a ‘huge bid’ but did not reveal how much he is valued at.

There is no doubt that Tottenham need reinforcements at centre-back this summer, particularly if Slot is appointed as the next head coach, given that the Dutchman prefers playing with a back four.
Tapsoba is a promising young defender but he is more used to playing a back three.
