The Daily Mail have claimed that Bayer Leverkusen defender Edmond Tapsoba is keen to complete a move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Tapsoba has been one of the pillars of the Leverkusen backline over the last couple of years, with his displays thought to have captured the interest of Tottenham.
Earlier this week, Bild named the centre-back as one of the players who could be on his way out of the BayArena this summer, stating that Spurs find him to be an ‘interesting option’.
The report added that the Lilywhites could even launch an offer of around €50m (£43m) for the 24-year-old.
This was subsequently followed up by an update by Fabrizio Romano, who claimed on Wednesday that Tottenham will hold talks over a deal for Tapsoba over the coming days.
Tapsoba is keen to move to Spurs this summer
The Mail have now claimed that Spurs have already ‘asked’ about a deal for the Leverkusen star, with the Lilywhites said to have ‘admired’ the player for ‘some time’.
The publication asserts that the Burkina Faso international is ‘eager’ to complete a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the report adding that the deal ‘seems likely’ to go through.

Tapsoba has a very similar profile to Tosin Adarabioyo but is arguably a much better prospect with a higher ceiling than the Englishman.
Postecoglou might feel that the 24-year-old has all the attributes required on and off the ball to thrive in his system.
