Parrott had a bittersweet afternoon in the clash against Norwich on Saturday, with the striker netting the match-winner but also picking up a hamstring injury in the process.
Parrott’s spell at the Deepdale Stadium had not gone according to plan heading into the clash at Carrow Road on Saturday, with the striker having scored just once all season.
However, the 20-year-old proved his worth against the Canneries as he came off the bench to score an 80th-minute winner to give Ryan Lowe’s side a 3-2 win.
Unfortunately for the on-loan Tottenham man, he picked up an injury just as he scored the goal and had to be withdrawn in the 82nd minute.
Irish website The 42 have now offered an update on the striker’s injury, explaining that he pulled up with a hamstring injury. They explain that the 20-year-old actually picked up the injury while he was celebrating his goal.
The publication does not specify how serious the Spurs star’s injury is or how long he is expected to be out of action.
Spurs Web Opinion
Hamstring injuries can potentially put players out for months if it is something serious like a tear. Parrott’s reaction certainly seemed to suggest that he was in a lot of pain. We will probably know in a couple of days how serious it is, once the striker has a scan.
