Troy Parrott has taken to social media to assure fans that he is working hard to recover as soon as possible after picking up a knee injury that is expected to put him out of action for two months.
Preston North End’s clash against Norwich City on Saturday proved to be a bittersweet outing for Parrott, who came off the bench to score a late matchwinner to help his side emerge from Carrow Road with a 3-2 win.
The goal was just the 20-year-old’s second of the season but unfortunately, the striker picked up an injury just as he netted and had to be withdrawn in the 82nd minute.
According to reports, Parrott has picked up a knee injury which is expected to put him out of action until after the World Cup (BBC Sport).
Preston boss Ryan Lowe told the Championship club’s official website that the on-loan Tottenham man will be able to play for the ‘foreseeable future’.
Parrott has now taken to social media to thank fans for the messages of support and added that he was in good spirits.
The striker’s Instagram story reads: “Injuries are never easy to take but I am in good spirits and already working hard to be back. The only limits that we have are the ones we put on ourselves. Thank you for all the messages of support.”
