Troy Parrott has taken to social media to reveal that the surgery he had on his hamstring has been successful.
Parrott picked up the hamstring injury just as he netted the match-winner for Preston North End in their 3-2 win at Carrow Road two weeks ago.
Reports indicate that the Tottenham man is expected to be out of action at least until after the World Cup (BBC Sport).
Preston boss Ryan Lowe told the Championship club’s official website that the 20-year-old will not be able to play for the ‘foreseeable future’ but he suggested that the break for the World Cup is coming at the right time for the striker as it will give him time to recover.
The Republic of Ireland international has now taken to Instagram to post a picture of himself following his hamstring surgery, stating that he will be doing everything he can to get back out onto the field as soon as possible.
Spurs Web Opinion
The mid-season break for the World Cup has certainly worked in Parrott’s favour as the striker now has some extra time to recover without missing too many games.
It is unclear what the timeline is for his recovery but the 20-year-old will certainly be hoping to play plenty of games during the second half of the season.
