Tottenham Hotspur striker Troy Parrott has been speaking about his loan spell with Preston North End this season, but refused to be drawn on where his future lies beyond this campaign.
Parrott has made the step up to Championship football this season, having impressed at League One level with MK Dons last year.
It’s been a difficult campaign for the 21-year-old, with injury interrupting his progress at Preston. Parrott has now made 30 appearances, scoring just three goals (Transfermarkt).
There are just three games left of the normal season, and Preston find themselves within touching distance of a place in the playoffs.
Regardless, Parrott’s loan spell will expire in the near future, at which points decisions will need to be made regarding his next steps.
It remains to be seen whether Parrott can establish himself at Tottenham next season, if at all, or whether he will go out on loan again next season.
Speaking to the Lancashire Evening Post, the player discussed how this season has gone and what his future may hold.
He said: “It’s been different. I don’t want to speak too much on it now but I’m sure if you speak to me at the end of the season I’ll have a better answer for you.
“It depends on the play-offs in a way, we have four games left and anything can happen in those four games.
“No matter what I’ve enjoyed myself here, I’ve met some good people and I’ve had a good time.
“I don’t want to think about that too much right now but I do like it here, I like the players, I like the staff, I like the people around the building but I don’t want to speak on it too early.”

It’s a shame that injury came along because it would have been very useful to see what Troy Parrott can do with a full season in the Championship under his belt.
As it stands, I think he will need to go back on loan to the Championship next season.
