Tottenham Hotspur are reported to be among the clubs who are closely monitoring Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa.
Chiesa’s impressive displays in Serie A this season have apparently caught the attention of several clubs including Spurs, Chelsea, Juventus, Man Utd, and Inter Milan. (TEAMtalk)
The 22-year-old who broke into Fiorentina’s first team at the start of the 16-17 season is having the best season of his career so far as he has been one of the few shining lights in what has been a poor season for the Viola.
According to reports, the winger who has 12 goals to his name so far this season, will cost around £70 million in the summer, which would be a club-record fee if Daniel Levy is prepared to outlay that kind of money on a player.
A further report in The Mirror claims that Liverpool have also joined the race for Chiesa and will be involved in the battle to land him in the summer.
Given the price mooted for the Italian along with the apparent competition for his signature, it looks like Spurs will likely be forced to look at other options.
