According to The Sun,Hotspur Way was evacuated this after noon after a suspected World War Two bomb was found.

A Metropolitan Police statement said cordons and road closures were put in place while specialist officers assessed the device.

The statement added that “A few residential homes were also evacuated as a precaution”,

A photo uploaded to Twitter which was later deleted showed police and ambulances swarming the area.

The article continued to say the device was removed and the incident was stood down.

A club spokesman said: “An unidentified piece of metal was unearthed on the Training Centre site earlier this afternoon and, as a precaution, the Metropolitan Police cordoned off the surrounding area”

We moved into the Hotspur Way training centre in 2012.
The impressive facility covers 77 acres and includes 15 grass pitches, a covered artificial pitch, pool and hydrotherapy complex, altitude room, gym, and rehab facilities

A frightening incident indeed for all concerned. The first team were on their way to Huddersfield so thankfully  preparations for tomorrow’s game weren’t affected.
