Football.London have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have submitted two planning applications with Enfield Council to extend areas of their Hotspur Way training complex.

Tottenham’s training centre is already recognised as one of the best in world football, with the facility containing 15 grass pitches across the site among various other amenities.

Spurs have now drawn up proposals to add two new extended areas to the complex, the first of which involves a plan to erect a single-storey extension to the club’s academy building to help develop more young players.

This extension will contain an enlarged and improved gym that will provide a larger space that will allow two teams to train simultaneously.

The club have also entered a second planning application for a new two-storey extension alongside the first team entrance in order to create a new media centre.

The report confirms that Tottenham are unlikely to build the extensions anytime soon even if their applications are approved, with the club struggling for finance in the aftermath of the pandemic.
