Antonio Conte has now opened up on his relationship with Fabio Paratici, with the pair currently serving as Tottenham’s head coach and managing director of football respectively.

Paratici swapped Juventus for North London early in the summer, while Conte joined a few months into the new season after he replaced Nuno Espirito Santo at the helm.

While many are curious to see how the Conte-Levy dynamic will work at Tottenham, the former Inter boss will deal with a familiar face in the managing director of football, Fabio Paratici, with who he previously worked at Juventus.

In an interview this week, the Italian revealed that he and Paratici hold a great respect for each other, while also looking at the game in similar ways.

When asked about Paratici, the Spurs head coach responded (La Gazzetta dello Sport): “The relationship with Fabio is solid, there is great mutual esteem.

We have worked together, he knows me. We speak the same language and I am not referring only to Italian.”

I suspect one of the reasons Levy appointed Paratici during the summer was with the hope that he would be able to attract Conte to the club. Without Paratici in place, I do not think there is any chance the 52-year-old would have taken the job, particularly given Levy’s reputation.
