Tottenham Hotspur reportedly have an ‘agreement in principle’ for Real Sociedad striker Willian Jose as the search continues for a new striker this summer.
As things stand, Harry Kane is the only senior out-and-out striker at the North London club, which has been the case for over a year now.
Spurs reportedly made an attempt to sign Jose in January after Kane picked up a long-term hamstring injury on the first day of the new decade, but they ended their search empty-handed (Guardian).
Earlier this week, El Desmarque reported that Willian Jose remains on Tottenham’s ‘agenda’ this summer and Calcio Mercato have now reinforced such claims.
Calcio Mercato claim that Spurs have had an ‘agreement in principle’ with Jose since the winter window and have now turned their attentions to him once more.
It is reported that, at the assistance of Mourinho himself, Spurs could test Real Sociedad’s resolve again with a bid of between €20m and €25m this summer.
