According to Cadena Ser, Real Sociedad are now waiting for a response from Tottenham Hotspur regarding a possible loan deal for Bryan Gil.
Gil has not had the start he would have hoped for to his Tottenham career following his move from Sevilla in the summer.
The 20-year-old is yet to start a single Premier League game this season, with all nine of his league appearances so far coming from the bench (Transfermarkt).
Fabrizio Romano revealed on Sunday that Valencia, Sociedad and Nice were interested in signing Gil on loan, explaining that Los Che were leading the race for the youngster.
This has now been backed up by Cadena Ser, who suggest that despite Valencia being the clear front-runners to snap up the Tottenham man, Sociedad have not given up hope.
It is explained that Imanol Alguacil’s side have been admirers of Gil for a long time and have identified him as the man to strengthen their left-wing department following the injury to Ander Barrenetxea.
The report adds that Tottenham are willing to loan the Spanish international out and that Sociedad are waiting for a response to their request.
Spurs Web Opinion
Given how well Sociedad are doing this season, perhaps Gil is more likely to get regular game time at Valencia than he is at the Reale Arena. That would likely be a major consideration for Spurs if they are planning to loan out the 20-year-old.
