Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Real Sociedad are closing in on the signing of French wonderkid Mohamed-Ali Cho, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar.
Ali Cho made his senior debut for Angers during the 2020/21 campaign and became a more prominent part of the Ligue 1 club’s first team over the course of last season.
The striker showed his versatility by featuring across the front three and found the back of the net on four occasions in the French top flight (Transfermakrt).
The 18-year-old, who has been capped on five occasions for France’s Under-21s, was first linked with a move to Spurs during the January transfer window.
Sky Sports even claimed at the time that Spurs had launched an opening offer for the teenager while the likes of Chelsea and Southampton were also credited with an interest in the forward (The Sun).
However, if Romano’s latest update is to be believed, Ali Cho is now on his way to Sociedad, with the journalist revealing that the La Liga club are determined to close the deal ‘as soon as possible’.

Spurs Web Opinion
We know already from Tottenham’s capture of Pape Matar Sarr last summer, that Paratici’s network of scouts are keeping a close eye on the young talents emerging in the French market. So, it is plausible that Ali Cho was on Spurs’ wishlist.
I wonder if the development of Troy Parrott, Dane Scarlett and Kion Etete this season was part of the reason why the club decided not to push ahead with a move for the Angers youngster.
