90min claim the Celtic hierarchy are fearful that Tottenham Hotspur could come calling for three of their biggest stars following Ange Postecoglou’s move to North London.
We covered a report from The Sun earlier this week, which suggested that Postecoglou is keen on bringing striker Kyogo Furuhashi to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The report claimed that the prolific Japanese forward, who found the back of the net 34 times in 54 appearances in 2022-23, also has admirers in Italy, France and Spain but the Australian’s presence at Spurs would give the Lilywhites an advantage over other suitors.
The publication added that Tottenham may be about launch a big offer for the versatile forward, who was allegedly valued at £20m by the Bhoys hierarchy.
Celtic fear a triple swoop from Spurs and Postecoglou
If 90 min’s latest update is to be believed, Celtic fear that it is not just Furuhashi that Spurs are after but also winger Jota and midfielder Reo Hatate.
While Jota has been one of the Hoops’ most potent creators this season with 15 goals and 12 assists across all competitions, Hatate has been Mr Consistent in the heart of their midfield, with both stars playing key roles in the Glasgow giants’ historic treble.
Spurs Web Opinion
Assuming that Postecgolou would go in for Celtic players seems like a lazy assumption.
While the Australian might have turned to the J-League for signings during his time in Scotland, he would be well aware that the step up from the Scottish Premiership to the Premier League is quite considerable.
