Tottenham Hotspur have taken the lead for the first time against Newcastle United just two minutes into the second half.
Harry Kane picked up the ball on the right hand side of the pitch and played a curling cross into the Magpies penalty area which evaded the foot of Heung-min Son and Matt Doherty stole in at the back post to stoop low and guide his header into the back of the net.
Spurs were fortunate from the resulting kick-off not to have found themselves pegged back when some slack defending allowed Chris Wood an attempt on goal.
Just before the half time break a Ben Davies header had cancelled out Schar’s opener.
