According to Hurriyet, Victor Nelsson is ‘determined’ to seal a switch to Tottenham this summer even though the North London club have not been able to agree on a transfer fee with Galatasaray for the centre-back so far.

The report states that Galatasaray are demanding that Spurs meet Nelsson’s €25m (£21.3m) release clause, which Ange Postecoglou’s men have not shown any inclination to do so far.

However, it is said that the Denmark international is putting pressure on the Turkish giants, who have now accepted defeat in their efforts to hold on to the player.

Galatasaray also want to sign Davinson Sanchez

Interestingly, it is explained that Galatasaray have identified Tottenham’s Davinson Sanchez as the ideal option to replace Nelsson.

Spurs allegedly value the Colombian at €12m (£10.2m), which is more than what the Istanbul club are ready to pay, given that the defender has just a year left on his contract at N17.

The publication adds that along with the Nelsson deal, Okan Buruk’s side are also negotiating with Tottenham on a deal to buy Sanchez for €8m (£6.8m).

The report indicates Galatasaray are treating these as two different operations rather than a part-exchange deal involving the two players.

Spurs Web Opinion

There continues to be a steady stream of speculation from Turkey talking up the chances of Nelsson moving to Tottenham.

However, no British outlet or reliable source such as Fabrizio Romano have given any indication at all that the Dane is on Spurs’ radar this summer.
