Takvim have suggested that Davinson Sanchez could go to Galatasaray this summer as a part of a deal to bring Victor Nelsson to Tottenham.
Sanchez is thought to be of interest to a whole host of clubs around Europe, with 90 min claiming last week that Galatasaray are one of the clubs to have reached out to Tottenham about the Colombian.
The report added that the player is also of interest to the likes of Strasbourg, Spartak Moscow, Fulham, Nottingham Forest and Wolves.
Galatasaray’s proposal for Davinson Sanchez
Takvim have now asserted that Galatasaray want to use Tottenham’s interest in Nelsson to win the race for Sanchez.
The report explains that Spurs considered the Turkish club’s asking price of €25m (£21.5m) for Nelsson to be excessive, which is why they did not make a move for the Dane.
It is alleged that Galatasaray have instead proposed that the North London club pay €13m (£11m) plus Sanchez for the 24-year-old.
The report adds that Tottenham have ‘welcomed’ the Istanbul club’s counteroffer, with a decision expected to be made soon.
Spurs Web Opinion
Despite the claims to the contrary by Turkish sources last summer, it is quite evident that Nelsson is not one of Tottenham’s top centre-back targets this summer. So, the suggestion that Spurs will use Sanchez as a makeweight to sign the Denmark international seems far-fetched.
