Football London’s Alasdair Gold has reported that both Tottenham and Watford are confident a deal can be reached for the transfer of Moussa Sissoko this summer.
The Frenchman has not yet featured under Nuno Espirito Santo this season after two Premier League games and two Europa Conference League matches.
Football London went into more depth in a later report, claiming Spurs were in talks with Watford over a potential transfer for the 32-year-old.
It has been a long summer transfer window and there is now under one week left before it slams shut, but there is said to be confidence from both sides that a transfer can happen.
Spurs are also said to be looking for an exit for right-back Serge Aurier, another first-team player who is yet to appear under Nuno in North London.
Over his five-year Spurs career, Sissoko has played 202 matches, scoring five goals and assisting another 16 (TransferMarkt).
Spurs Web Opinion:
It’s a shame that Sissoko started his Tottenham career with unfair criticism and looks set to end it in the same way. I hope the Spurs fans can appreciate what an important player he has been over the last half-decade and he always remained a true professional.
