Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko will undergo a medical at Watford today ahead of completing his transfer to the Premier League newcomers, according to The Mirror.
The report from The Mirror’s live transfer update (09:30 / 27/8) claims that the Hornets will pay £10million for the French international.
Sissoko has been earmarked as a replacement for Will Hughes, who is heading to Crystal Palace.
The midfielder has found himself out of favour at Tottenham following the arrival of Nuno Espirito Santo as head coach, having only managed to make the bench for the match against Manchester City and was not in the match day squads for the Pacos de Ferreira doubleheader for the trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend (transfermarkt).
Sissoko admitted ahead of Euro 2020 that he was open to leaving the Premier League side after what he claimed had been a difficult season for him and planned to sit down with the club to discuss his future (Foot Mercato).
The 32-year-old joined Spurs from Newcastle on Deadline Day in August 2016 and has gone on to make over 200 appearances for the North Londoners in all competitions (transfermarkt).

A £10million fee and getting Sissoko’s £80,000-a-week wages off the bottom line would represent a huge financial boost to the club with a few days of the transfer window still to run.
At 32, Sissoko would be a first-team regular at Watford, with his days at Tottenham appearing to be over.
