Moussa Sissoko’s time at Tottenham Hotspur looks to be coming to a close with reports claiming that he is on the verge of joining Watford.
The Mirror claimed this morning that the 32-year-old was undergoing a medical with the Hornets ahead of making the switch to Vicarage Road for a £10million fee.
Ahead of both clubs meeting in the Premier League on Sunday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Nuno Espirito Santo and Watford boss Xisco Muñoz were quizzed about the French international at their respective press conferences.
Nuno was his in usual form, being tight-lipped when it comes to talking about transfer activities.
He told Football.London: “Until the moment, Moussa is a Spurs player. So nothing is done, so I don’t have much to add on that.”
Xisco, on the other hand, was more open to talk about the former Newcastle player by deciding to praise Sissoko and admitted that he would be a good addition to their squad.
Xisco was quoted by PA journalist Jonathan Veal as saying: “He is a very good player, everyone knows he is an experienced player. He is a top player and I think he would be very good for us. We will see if he arrives.”

Xisco’s comments have all but confirmed that Watford are in for Sissoko and given his lack of game time this season, a move to Vicarage Road would be in his best interests at this stage of his career if he has no desire to move to the Middle East.
