Tottenham Hotspur have now officially announced the sale of Moussa Sissoko who has joined fellow Premier League club Watford ahead of the transfer window closing.
This brings to an end a five-year stay in North London for Sissoko, who was signed by Spurs after impressing at the 2016 European Championships for France.
Tottenham paid £30m to bring him in that summer and have reportedly now sold him for around £3m.
Sissoko played 202 games for Spurs in all competitions, scoring five goals and registering 16 assists in that time (TransferMarkt).
The Frenchman’s contract was set to expire in 2023 and he is now 32 years of age, making it a successful transfer for all involved.
Sissoko was involved in so many momentous games and seasons of growth for Spurs, most notably the Champions League Final in 2019, although he may be remembered for that infamous handball.
We would like to wish Moussa all the best at Watford for the new season.

Unfairly treated at the start and the end of his Tottenham career really. However, in between, Sissoko was a key player for Spurs and always remained a true professional. Thanks for the memories, Moussa and please do not leave your shooting boots behind.
