Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has offered his score prediction for Tottenham Hotspur’s next Premier League fixture.

Watford are the visitors to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tomorrow afternoon, looking to end the North Londoners’ unbeaten start in the top flight.

Owen has admitted that he has been impressed by Nuno Espirito Santo amid the Harry Kane speculation which dominated the transfer window, yet was still able to record victories against Manchester City and Wolves.

The former forward believes that Watford’s away form could be a big problem for them in their quest to avoid relegation this season and backed Spurs to comfortably take all three points from the encounter.

Owen told BetVictor: “You’ve got to hand it to Nuno Espirito Santo for the way he’s started his tenure as Spurs’ boss. With all the drama surrounding Harry Kane, and to start with games against Man City and Wolves, to come away with six points is fantastic. There seems to be a good feeling around the club at the minute and it’s good to see Dele Alli showing some good form.

“Watford didn’t impress in the away trip against Brighton, and you get the feeling that their hopes will rest on having a good record at Vicarage Road.  I don’t think this will be a successful away trip either and think we’ll see a comfortable Spurs win.

“Spurs to win 2-0.”

Tottenham slipped up last season against some of the, with respect, lesser opponents in the Premier League and if they have any ambitions of returning to the top four, these are the types of fixtures that should be a mere formality.
