Rob Guest from Football London has revealed that both Moussa Sissoko and Danny Rose did a lap of honour around the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium pitch this afternoon as they bid a proper farewell to the Spurs faithful.
Sissoko started the match against Spurs for the Hornets despite only transferring days ago, while Rose was named among the substitutes for the Premier League encounter.
Tottenham won the game to take them to the summit of the league table, all the sweeter with Arsenal down the other end in 20th.
Rose departed Tottenham after 13 seasons in North London this summer, although because he was frozen out of Jose Mourinho’s side and due to fan restrictions, he was robbed of an opportunity to say goodbye to the fans.
Sissoko was also granted the chance to do the same today, bringing an end to a five-year stay at Tottenham, which included the Champions League final.
Spurs Web Opinion:
I loved reading this. Two great professionals and important players in the recent history of Spurs. I hope to see Danny back one day as a coach after he retires from the game.
