Moussa Sissoko has taken to social media to post a classy message to the supporters of Tottenham Hotspur.

The French international completed a move in the region of £3mlllion to Premier League newcomers, Watford on Friday, signing a two-year deal with the Vicarage Road outfit (BBC).

Sissoko was back at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium just a day later when he was named in the Hornets starting eleven to face his former side.

Football.London claimed that Sissoko’s involvement in the match had taken some Spurs officials by surprise and anger that he had been able to take to the field, with Watford having registered him with the Premier League in advance of the deadline.

The 32-year-old took to Instagram to admit that he only has fond memories of his five years at the North Londoners, suggesting that he felt at home from the first day he joined from Newcastle United.

Sissoko received a brilliant ovation from the Spurs fans when he was substituted during the second half on Sunday and acknowledged all four ends of the stadium.

While he will not take his place at the legends table at the club, he will be appreciated for the effort he showed while wearing the Spurs, especially after the difficult start he experienced.
