Italian publication La Repubblica have revealed that Arsenal are expected to ramp up their move for alleged Tottenham target Dejan Kulusevski ahead of the January transfer window.

Kulusevski has struggled for game time at Juventus this season and previous reports from Italy have claimed that Fabio Paratici, who was instrumental in bringing the winger to Turin, could look to take him to Spurs in January.

CalcioMercato reported recently that Juve are open to cashing in on the 21-year-old in January and that both Spurs and Arsenal have enquired about signing the player on a loan deal.

If La Repubblica’s latest update is to be believed, the Gunners are now set to push ahead with a permanent move for Kulusevski.

The report reveals that Arsenal officials will travel to Italy next week to try and hammer out an agreement for the Juve star.

Mikel Arteta is apparently keen on bringing the Swede to the Emirates, with Arsenal said to be prepared to offer €30m (£25.5m) plus €5m (£4.2m) in add-ons for the winger.

However, it is explained that the offer is short of The Old Lady’s valuation of Kulusevski, which is alleged to be around €40m (£34m).

Spurs Web Opinion

Kulusevski is clearly a talented player despite his struggles in getting game time under Massimiliano Allegri this season.

However, I would not be too disappointed to see Arsenal snap him up as I am not convinced that the winger would be a good fit for Antonio Conte’s system.
