Dejan Kulusevski has named Destiny Udogie as the fastest player at Tottenham Hotspur.

Udogie, who had emerged as one of the best wing-backs in Serie A over the last couple of years, now faces the challenge of adapting to the Premier League and trying to establish himself as a regular starter for Tottenham.

The 20-year-old will also need to get accustomed to the demands of the inverted full-back role under Postecoglou, having almost exclusively featured as a left wing-back at Udinese.

The Italy Under-21 international has certainly shown some promising signs in the first two pre-season friendlies of the summer against West Ham United and Lion City Sailors.

The left-back has been backed publicly by Postecoglou, who stated a couple of days ago that the youngster fits the profile he wants at full-back (Football.London).

Udogie has already claimed a big Spurs title

Spurs fans have already seen glimpses of Udogie’s blistering recovery pace, and Kulusevski believes that the Italian is the fastest player in the squad.

When asked who is the quickest at Tottenham over 100 meters, the Swede told Spurs Play: “I would say Destiny [Udogie]. I think he has the speed over the long run, I think me and him would be at the top.”

Spurs Web Opinion

While there is no doubt that Udogie has the recovery pace needed to play in Postecoglou’s system, there remain some question marks over the Italian’s one vs one defending, especially when the winger is cutting infield, forcing the 20-year-old to defend on his wrong side.
