Wholeheartedly agree Eriksen is a vital part of Tottenham’s midfield and arguably its chief orchestrator/playmaker. A Spurs frontline without Eriksen would make a huge difference in their ability to create and selling him on would be an undeniable mistake. I think it is absolutely essential that Spurs hang on to the great Dane if you excuse the pun, he is what makes Tottenham tick!

In fact, when the Croat did leave it was only Bale’s brilliance, that next season, which masked the fact we’d completely lost our midfield balance ..something which Spurs as a club has always thrived on in our pass and move game. There are few Eriksens out there, let alone any who are available and for less than £150m etc.. He is as vital to Spurs as Kane and Alli ..perhaps more so ..so any sale, at any amount, would be disastrous. In fact, we should be looking to find someone similar (but playing deeper in central midfield as a playmaker) who can complement Eriksen and occasionally replace him further forward when required. We’d love our own Xavi and Iniesta (the engine room of Barca press and pass for years) and short of Modric coming back to us, let’s at least ensure we don’t ruin this squad and our immediate future success by selling our own Iniesta, in Eriksen!
