Celtic striker Oh Hyeon-gyu has been speaking to South Korea teammate Heung-min Son about new Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou, and had only nice things to say about his former coach.

The 22-year-old attacker signed for the Scottish giants in January of this year, but Postecoglou has clearly had a positive impact on him in such a short space of time.

Oh was integral to Celtic’s charge to the domestic treble this year, contributing seven goals in 21 appearances since arriving in Scotland earlier this year (Transfermarkt).

Postecoglou’s parting gift to Celtic was to secure an historic treble, including a second successive SPL title. Indeed, wherever the 57-year-old has gone, he has been successful in winning trophies.

That is something Tottenham have struggled with for 15 years now, with their last taste of silverware coming in 2008 when they won the League Cup.

Many are hoping Ange Postecoglou can be the one to bring the good times back to North London, and at the very least give Spurs fans entertaining, attacking football once more.

Heung-min Son hears glowing review of Postecoglou

Oh certainly thinks that will be the case, as he revealed to Football Scotland what he has told South Korea captain Heung-min Son about his new Tottenham Hotspur manager.

Son apparently quizzed his teammate about what to expect from Postecoglou, and Oh said: “He asked me about Ange’s style—what he emphasises, his style of play.

“I’ve only played for Ange for half a year, but I already know that he’s tactically exceptional. I believe he’ll succeed.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I am really excited to see how we play under Postecoglou, but by all accounts, it’s going to be fun at the very least.

We have some incredible attacking talent in our squad and it has been such a shame to see that squandered this season.

I have a feeling Sonny will thrive in this new set-up.
