Cameron Carter-Vickers looks like he is enjoying his spell with Luton Town so far as he looks to have nailed his place down in the heart of the defence.
The centre half spent the first half of the campaign on loan at fellow Championship outfit Stoke City, but was recalled earlier this month after failing to hold down a regular place in the side following the arrival of new manager Michael O’Neill.
The USA international has picked up plenty of loan experience over the past two-and-a-half seasons having also spent time at Sheffield United, Ipswich Town, and Swansea City.
Many will have seen the spell at Luton as ‘make or break’ for the 22-year-old, especially with the recent emergence of Japhet Tanganga. However, Carter-Vickers is certainly delivering so far at his new club.
The Hatters were rooted to the bottom of the Championship table when the youngster joined but he is now helping them to mount an unlikely late rally for survival.
The defender put in a solid display at the back as Luton beat high-flying Brentford 2-1 at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday to go just four points off safety.
Here’s how some Luton fans reacted to Carter-Vickers’ display:
He's like the Berlin Wall, nothing was getting past him last night #tank

Carter-Vickers, quietly goes about his business, making a real impact at the back.
Rea, again, a monster in the middle.
Harry Cornick, becoming a real player.
COYH, just when you think we are dead, we rise again, that's why I love Luton Town FC!

The Luton Town back four including CCV has been solid today.

Defence so much more solid with CCV playing next to Pearson with Rea in front. However, we can't keep making it so easy for wide players to constantly put crosses in the box, too high risk. Potts has to do better.

It can't be underestimated the impact that Glen Rae has had since he's return,we tried different players in that role and none were capable of doing it but since Rae has come back we look a different team,On another note we look more solid at the back with the MP and CCV pairing.

Spurs Web Opinion
I was extremely surprised to see Carter-Vickers have such a poor time at Stoke City in the first half of the season. However, he is now proving again with Luton that he is more than good enough for the Championship. If he keeps his form up, the defender can earn a move to a decent-sized Championship club at the end of the season.
