Ryan Sessegnon has emerged as a target in the summer transfer window for Steve Cooper and Nottingham Forest.
After a poor showing in the 2022/23 campaign, new Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou is set to offload a number of players this summer (Telegraph).
It has been suggested that Ryan Sessegnon may not have a future at Tottenham. He has been with the Lilywhites since 2019 but has never really had the desired impact at the club.
A report from The Telegraph last week mentioned Sessegnon as one of the players who Spurs are keen to move on this summer.
Sessegnon made 23 appearances for Spurs last year (Transfermarkt), with his injury problems surfacing once again. When he did play, the left-back hardly set the world alight and found it difficult to hold down a starting spot in the team.
Nottingham Forest want Ryan Sessegnon from Spurs
Journalist Alan Nixon wrote on his Patreon about Sessegnon’s situation and the latest update suggests Nottingham Forest are interested in signing the Spurs man during the current transfer window.
It is thought that Forest boss Steve Cooper is looking to work with the player again, after managing him for the England Under-17s previously.
After a whirlwind summer last year that saw Forest sign practically an entire new squad of players, the Reds managed to retain their Premier League status.
They will be looking for further reinforcements to ensure they can avoid relegation this time around.
Cooper is believed to want to bring Sessegnon in an attempt to make the most of the potential the player has.
Spurs Web Opinion
It is clear that Sessegnon has no future at Tottenham and a move to Nottingham Forest feels like a good fit for everyone involved. Hopefully, we can get this deal sorted out as soon as possible and get a bit of money back in the budget.
