A video doing the rounds on social media has shown Emerson Royal limping off the field during Brazil’s 2-1 loss against Morocco on Sunday.
Emerson missed Tottenham’s 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest with a knee injury but he returned for the 3-3 draw at St Mary’s, replacing Pedro Porro in the 86th minute.
The 23-year-old earned a recall to the Brazil squad on the back of his improved performances for Spurs over recent months and he started for the Selecao in Morocco yesterday.
The Tottenham man played almost the entire game but came off injured in stoppage time, with Arthur replacing him in the 93rd minute.
Journalist Owuraku Ampofo, who was in attendance at the Ibn Batouta Stadium, has now shared a video of Emerson limping off the field.

Given the way he was walking gingerly, he certainly does not look likely to be fit for the clash against Everton. Hopefully, it is not a serious injury that puts him out of action for the rest of the season.
Even though Porro has been excellent in the last two matches, Stellini is going to need close to a fully fit squad to have a reasonable finishing in the top four.
