Richarlison and Emerson Royal were both pictured watching Tottenham’s Under-21s in action against West Ham United at Hotspur Way on Sunday.

The Under-21s emerged with a 1-0 home win over the Hammers in their final Premier League 2 game of the campaign, with an early Jamie Donley strike proving the difference between the sides.

However, the result was not enough for the youngsters to secure top-flight safety as they were relegated on goal difference after finishing second from bottom in the table.

Lucas Moura played all 90 minutes on Sunday while fellow first-team squad members Pape Matar Sarr and Brandon Austin also picked up valuable game time.

However, their efforts were not enough to help the Under-21s get the result they needed, with the Hammers goalkeeper Krisztian Hegyi making a string of fine saves.

It turns out that both Richarlison and Emerson were at the game to cheer on the youngsters, with Chris Cowlin sharing a picture of the forward and the right-back watching the encounter.

Richarlison and Emerson were probably there to cheer on Lucas but the pair are certainly terrific characters to have in the dressing room and evidently both wear their hearts on their sleeves.

The former Everton man has had a difficult first season in London but I have no doubt that he is going to become an important player for us in the years to come.
