Tottenham Hotspur have completed a deal for young central defender, Luka Vuskovic, with Fabrizio Romano even giving the transfer his ‘here we go’ seal of approval.

The Italian journalist says that the agreement has been reached between Tottenham and Hajduk Split, as well as on the player’s side. Vuskovic will join Spurs when he turns 18 in 2025.

Luka Vuskovic to Tottenham – Here We Go

Previous reports have indicated that Tottenham are set to pay around £12m for the player, which is a huge fee considering he is just 16 years of age (Evening Standard).

However, Vuskovic is very highly rated in footballing circles, having been linked with ChelseaLiverpool, Newcastle (Daily Mail), Man City, PSG and AC Milan (Calciomercato).

But it is Tottenham who have won the race for the talented teenager, who allegedly told his club not to negotiate with anyone apart from Spurs as he feels that is the perfect move for him (Here We Go podcast).

Spurs Web Opinion:

This is perhaps the clearest indication yet that Tottenham’s transfer strategy is changing. They are not afraid to buy here-and-now players like James Maddison, but these are also heavily supplemented by young up-and-comers like Destiny Udogie, Pape Matar Sarr, and Alejo Veliz.
