After a 100% record going into the fourth game of the Premier League season, the start of September marks the beginning of Tottenham’s yearly League Cup run.
The second round Carabao Cup matches take place both tonight and tomorrow night, with a host of Premier League clubs in action.
However, the European big boys don’t enter the fray until round three, so you’ll have to wait to see Spurs take to the pitch in their opening game.
The third round draw takes place on August 30, at around 7pm.
The draw will be live to watch on SkySports Football, during the EFL Matters show.
Spurs are currently third favourites to win the competition at 7/1, with Manchester City (4/1) and Liverpool (13/2) just ahead. United (7/1), Chelsea (7/1) and Arsenal (10/1) make up the other favourites.
An away draw would prevent a Tottenham headache, as a choice will have to be made if they get drawn at home in the third round.
As Wembley is busy during the tie, the fixture will either have to be reversed, or held at a neutral ground.
