Tottenham’s brand new 62,000 seat stadium was originally supposed to open against Liverpool on Saturday, but delays prevented any kind of grand opening.
Perhaps it was for the best, as Spurs sank to a 2-1 defeat, sending them back to 6th in the Premier League table.
Spurs have extended their Wembley stay until December 15, with Daniel Levy hoping that the new ground would be ready before that date.
However, rumours suggest that the fire sprinkler system could keep the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium closed beyond March 2019.
Tottenham have therefore had to find a third home ground for the season, as Wembley is already booked up during the weekend of the Carabao Cup third round.
Spurs were drawn at home to Watford, and decided to apply to use Stadium MK as their home ground, rather than hand the home fixture to their Premier League rivals.
As a result of this MK Dons fans have now been given the chance to purchase tickets for the League Cup clash, with each season-ticket holder able to buy up to four tickets.
The seats will be found in a fully-segregated section of the home end, meaning that there will be three separate groups of fans within the stadium.
A good plan to fill the ground, or should only Spurs fans be allowed home seat access?
