Tottenham Hotspur have this evening found out who they will face in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
The draw was made just moments ago following the second round tie between Tranmere Rovers and Newcastle United.
Spurs will face Nottingham Forest in the third round of the competition, with the tie taking place at the City Ground.
Matches will be played during the week commencing Monday 7th November and is nestled in between Liverpool’s visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium the weekend prior and another home game against Leeds United just a matter of days after the cup tie.
Last season, Tottenham made it to the semi-final stage of the competition where they were beaten 3-0 on aggregate by Thomas Tuchel’s side and will be looking to go one better during the current campaign.
Tottenham have not won the League Cup since 2008, which was their last taste of competitive silverware when Jonathan Woodgate’s extra time header gave Juande Ramos’ side a 2-1 win over Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea.
