Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that they will be travelling to Fulham on 29 August for their Carabao Cup second-round clash.
With Tottenham failing to qualify for European competitions for the first time in well over a decade, the club will now enter the Carabao Cup at the second round stage.
The Lilywhites have been handed a relatively tough draw, needing to win a London derby against Fulham to progress through to the next stage.
Spurs to take on Fulham at the end of August
Spurs have now confirmed that they will be travelling to Craven Cottage for the clash on Tuesday 29 August, with kick-off at 7.45 pm (UK).
The clash comes just three days after Tottenham’s trip to the Vitality Stadium to take on Bournemouth and four days before they travel up to Turf Moore to face Burnley.
Being drawn away at Fulham also means that Ange Postecoglou’s men play just two of their first seven matches of the season across all competitions at home.
Spurs Web Opinion
The one thing that we know for a fact under Postecoglou is that the style of play would not change even if the Australian names a B-team for the cup clashes.
However, this is the first trophy that he will get a chance to win as Spurs head coach and with no European football to worry about this season, I expect the 57-year-old to name a relatively strong team.
