Estadio Deportivo have claimed that there is no clarity on Giovani Lo Celso’s future ahead of the January transfer window, with neither Tottenham nor the player having made a final decision.
The report explains that while many clubs are interested in Lo Celso, Real Betis have now become the main option for the midfielder in January as Barcelona are unlikely to make a move for him, with the Catalan club said to have shifted their focus to other targets.
The outlet suggests that while Ange Postecoglou is currently waiting for Lo Celso to return to fitness, the player’s chances of getting game time are minimal, given how well Tottenham’s midfielders are performing right now.

It is alleged that Betis were keen on re-signing the 27-year-old in the summer and are ready to reactivate their interest when the transfer window reopens.

Three months is a long time in football and a lot can change between now on January. It is quite plausible that Maddison suffers an injury and Postecoglou relies on Lo Celso to provide the creativity.
So, it is too early to predict whether the midfielder is likely to be sold in the next transfer window.
