As the season draws to a close, attention will soon turn to a busy summer for Tottenham Hotspur. The club look set to go into it still in search of a new manager, so it remains to be seen which players will be targeted.
However, it appears that Spurs already have eyes on the future. According to Football Insider sources, Tottenham are linked with a move for Bobby Clark, a 16-year-old currently on the books at Newcastle United.
Bobby is the son of Newcastle legend, Lee Clark, but his progress at the club has stalled in the last year.
Clark made history back in 2019, becoming the youngest player to represent the under-18’s at 14 years of age. Such progress led to apparent interest from Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United.
In addition to this, the youngster has also represented England at under-16 level.
Tottenham have reportedly been offered the chance to bring Clark to London and the club will be able to have a closer look at the talent of the 16-year-old before deciding on whether to bring him to the academy set-up.
Spurs Web Opinion:
It is great to see the club somewhat preparing for the future. Last year saw the signing of the highly-rated youngster, Alfie Devine so it’d be hard to turn down another talent in Clark. Youth squads have impressed this season, seeing Dane Scarlett make his Premier League debut at 16 years of age.
