Tottenham could hand Dane Scarlett and Alfie Devine extra time off this pre-season following their involvement at the European U19 Championship, according to Football.London.
Antonio Conte has not confirmed which of the younger players will embark on the trip to Asia as he continues to evaluate them on their return to training this week.
However, starlets Scarlett and Devine have not yet returned to Hotspur Way with the report also claiming Spurs could extend their break into pre-season after their commitments with England.
It is said there is a possibility the duo will not make the trip to Korea because of the quick turnaround, although it is not clear as to whether this decision will be left up to the club or the players themselves.
The duo played a prominent role for the Young Lions at the Euro U19 tournament as they emerged victorious after beating Israel 3-1 after extra time in Friday’s final.
Scarlett and Devine started the match in Slovakia with the former being substituted during half-time of extra time and the latter withdrawn after 85 minutes.
Midfielder Devine featured in each of England’s five games at the tournament, making four starts and providing one goal and two assists (Transfermarkt).
Meanwhile, Scarlett led the line on four occasions and notched two goals and one assist (Transfermarkt), although he was rested for the group game against Israel.
There's a possibility Dane Scarlett and Alfie Devine could take a bit of extra rest after their European U19 Championships glory so with that in mind a slightly revised look at the young Spurs players hoping to get their chance on the Korea tour. https://t.co/C1Qx5zBSSo

Spurs Web Opinion
Pre-season is the best time for young players to show what they are all about to first-team managers and Scarlett and Devine would have definitely been keen to do that under Conte.
They played a lot of football over the summer, though, and Spurs will be wary of that so they may want to give them a bit more extra rest ahead of the South Korea tour to preserve them.
