Football Insider have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are keeping a close watch on Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson ahead of the summer transfer window.
Johnson shot to the limelight with his breakthrough season in the Championship last campaign and the attacking midfielder has seamlessly made the transition to the Premier League, having scored eight times and provided two assists in 28 top-flight appearances this season (Transfermarkt).
Football Insider claim that the 21-year-old’s displays at the City Ground have caught Tottenham’s attention, with the North London club now alleged to be weighing up a summer offer for the youngster.
The report asserts that a senior Spurs scout was present at the City Ground on Saturday to watch Johnson in action in Forest’s 1-1 draw against Wolves.
The Welshman only signed a new deal at Forest last summer, with the contract running until 2026.
However, Steve Copper’s side are in danger of going straight back down as they currently sit just one point clear of the drop zone.

If Forest do get relegated, there will be a massive scramble for Johnson’s signature this summer as the youngster looks destined to evolve into a top player.
There is no doubt that Tottenham need a creative midfielder but the club would first have to sort out their managerial situation before finalising their transfer targets.
