Tottenham Hotspur’s managing director of football Fabio Paratici was planning to be at yesterday’s FA Cup tie between Nottingham Forest and Leicester City, according to Alasdair Gold.
The journalist revealed in his latest YouTube video (1:01:53) which was recorded prior to the match that he had heard from a couple of sources that the Italian was due to be at the City Ground to cast his eye over two players in particular.
Djed Spence, who is currently on loan at Forest from Middlesbrough and attacking midfielder team-mate Brennan Johnson were both to be monitored by the Tottenham transfer chief.
Spence was a constant threat down the right flank and capped his performance with the goal which made it 4-1 to Steve Cooper’s side to send the current holders crashing out of the competition.
Johnson was also on the scoresheet, having bagged the second goal of the game and showed great composure to finish through the legs of Danny Ward.

If Paratici did indeed make it to Nottingham, he would have been impressed with the efforts of both players in the demolition of the Foxes, who will no doubt be on the radar of other clubs if they continue to perform as they did last night.
