The Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have their eye on both Richarlison and Allan Saint-Maximin this summer.

Over the last week, Tottenham have been heavily linked with a move for Richarlison, with UOL even claiming that the North London club are willing to offer €60m (£51.3m) to snap up the Brazilian.

The report added that the 25-year-old has made up his mind to leave Goodison Park and is open to joining Spurs.

However, others like The Athletic’s David Ornstein have claimed that Tottenham will only sign Richarlison if he is available for the right price this summer.

Saint-Maximan is another name who is allegedly on Antonio Conte’s radar this summer (The Daily Mail) but Eddie Howe is thought to be keen to keep hold of the winger ahead of his first full season at St James’ Park (Fabrizio Romano on CaughtOffside).

Taylor has now said that Spurs are continuing to monitor both Richarlison and Saint-Maximin, and he suggested that Everton’s interest in Steven Bergwijn could help the Lilywhites in getting a potential deal for the former over the line.

The journalist said on his YouTube channel: “They (Spurs) want to clear the decks so they can reinvest that money. They will target another forward, Allan Saint-Maximin and Richarlison are the two names of interest at the moment.

“The interesting element of the Richarlison links are that Everton have been earmarked as potential suitors for Bergwijn, so there is the hypothetical potential of a swap deal, so there is potential leverage there.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I think Richarlison would be a much more realistic target than Saint-Maximin since Everton need to sell to buy this summer while Newcastle have no such problems. Besides, the Brazilian would also be a better fit for Conte’s needs, given that he can play out wide as well as through the middle.
